If Friday sells, the following weekend runs September 25-27.

Riverfest is the fundraiser of the year for FOR, and it's genuinely one of the best parties Fredericksburg throws — steamed crabs, BBQ, open bar, live music on the river, silent and live auctions, all set on the McDaniel Property right next to City Dock at golden hour. It's not cheap and it's not casual (dress is river-nice, not cocktail), but every dollar goes to protecting the river you actually paddle and swim in. Buy tickets in advance; this always sells out and walk-up isn't a thing.
