Riverside's fall marquee production and easily the most ambitious book-ahead show of the season. Sondheim is not a warm-up act — this needs a real orchestra pit and real voices, and Riverside is one of the only rooms in the region set up to do it justice. Tickets are $67–$92 with dinner-theater seating; the pre-show meal is included in your ticket price, which trips up first-timers. Opening weekend and the last weekend go first.

$145 gets you the best wine dinner in town this week, full stop. Cork & Table's tasting menus consistently punch above the price, and their Spanish nights lean into Rioja and Ribera del Duero with a chef who actually knows how to pair jamón and Manchego without turning it into a cliché. Book by Monday — these sell out, and they don't oversell the room. Wear something you'd wear on Caroline Street on a good date.
